Upson Bid Rejected

The papers are full of reports that West Ham have rejected an 11 million bid for Matthew Upson from Aston Villa and are holding out for 15 million for Scott Parker from Manchester City. Parker is said to be on 70,000 a week at West Ham!
But Arsenal are also said to be interested in Upson, [...]

Reports tonight suggest that Scott Parker has agreed personal terms with Manchester City and will sign within the next 48 hours. However, Sky Sports News says that the two clubs have yet to agree a fee. I hope we do not accept anything less than 10 million.

So, quality result against Barnsley. Not so much because of the opposition but more because that’s our third win on the bounce and Carlton Cole’s third on the trot. Although the fact it was against a team who could have genuinely been a banana skin made it that little bit more enjoyable.
