West Ham managed to escape from the dangerous zone by winning the last two Premier League games and they will be very motivated to continue the winning run. Barnsley are also on the good run of results and they will try to create a surprise at Upton Park.

West Ham ended their four-match winless run with an impressive win away to Portsmouth and Hammers will be looking to continue in the same fashion. Stoke took only three points from the last six games and Potters have slipped to the relegation zone.

Portsmouth suffered the second successive defeat by losing to Bolton last weekend and Tony Adams will have a lot of problems to lift players’ spirits after two disappointing performances. West Ham played a good game against Aston Villa but they lost the match by conceding a late goal. Both teams will have something to prove and we expect to see a very interesting match.

West Ham held on at Stamford Bridge last weekend and they will enter this match full of confidence. Hammers will be looking to improve on their awful home record by beating Aston Villa. Villans are back in fourth place and they seem very determined to stay there, come rest of the season. They, too, will be looking to take all three points.

The Hammers will have to forget the defeat quickly and try to win the home game against Portsmouth. Tony Adams won his first game in charge of Portsmouth, as his side took all three points from Sunderland and he will try to take at least one point from this match.

Everton won the second game in a row thanks to late goals and the Toffees will try to continue the good run at Upton Park.

Middlesbrough enters this game on the back of two good results last week, having taken a point in Blackburn before beating Manchester City. As expected West Ham lost the match at Old Trafford and their losing run now stretches to four games. Zola will not abandon his attacking approach and West Ham will be looking to win this game.
